norman-chappelle-oldNorman Robert Chappelle
1969 – 2015

Chappelle, Norman Robert-September 1, 1969 – June 20, 2015 Peacefully left this world, on the opening day of bass to go fishing at the crack of dawn. He was surrounded by more love then ever imaginable, with his family by his side holding his hands. Amazing husband and best friend to Shelley, devoted, loving and cherished father of Devon, 11 years old and Kailey, 8 years old. Norm will also be greatly missed by the four legged members of the family……his fur babies, Bella, Tiggles and Tye. He is survived by his loving parents, Charles and Carol, dear son in law of Eileen Younge (the late Kenneth). Dear brother of Steven (Kathy), beloved sisters Andrea (Al), Catheryne (Roch), Caroline (Bob). Brother in law of Bev (Clarence), Carol (Doug) and Dale (Loretta). Norm will be sadly missed by his aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews, and his great niece and nephews.

Norm’s presence will be forever missed by those whose paths he ever crossed. Norm was a part of a huge extended family, including friends, campers, fellow fishermen, hockey and soccer family, work, neighbours and acquaintances. He will be fondly remembered by many children because he was known for making them his special treats such as homemade beaver tails and banana boats on our many camping trips. Norm was everyone’s friend and was always there to lend a hand. There was nothing too big or too small; this Gentle Giant was there for everyone. Respecting Norms wishes, we would love everyone to dress very casual for his celebration of Life, to be held at Vimy Officers Mess located at 1 Princess Royal Ave. Kingston Ontario, Saturday June 27th at 2:00pm. (Norm is known for being a Habs fan….NOT LEAFS…so jerseys, T-shirts/shorts/jeans are appropriate). Donations made to the family towards Devon and Kailey’s education fund would be greatly appreciated and may be placed through the PAUL G. PAYNE FUNERAL HOME, BOX 324, ODESSA, K0H 2H0 613-386-7373
